Accommodation

We offer considerably spacious single and double rooms, all of which are fully furnished and have en-suite bathrooms and shower rooms.

Residents are welcome to bring along their own furniture and other belongings to help create a more personal and comfortable space. Our handyman can also assist with hanging up pictures and photographs. Each of the rooms has a TV point and bell call system installed to summon instant help at any time of the day or night. Full central heating is fitted in every room, so it is pleasantly warm throughout the home.

The Care Team

Danielle Hudd and Katie Ashbee alongside Margaret Buckingham, the owner, manage the home and they are supported by 12 carers. The team possesses the qualities, skills and experience to support the residents and offer personal and dignified care.

To ensure consistent care practice in accordance with current standards, the management team are all trained to level 5 standard in leadership and management or are currently undertaking this qualification. Carers on the team range in qualification from SRN, QCF level 3 and 2 in health and social care and are all compliant in the mandatory areas as is necessary of all staff in residential care.

The team is also supported by local GP's, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Community Nurses and The Severn and NHS Trust's Continence Advisor.

Meaningful Activities

We offer a range of engaging activities to keep residents active. Some prefer days trips or group activities and others opt for quiet conversation or listening to music - It is always up to the individual.

Regular trips are arranged for residents including visits to the shops, church, hairdresser or any other outing needed. Some services can be provided in the comfort of the home. Members of staff are also able to do residents' shopping for them if desired.

Garden parties and barbecues with friends and family are very popular throughout the summer.

There are many indoor activities available from board games to film showings.

Residents are also encouraged to remain active to ensure their good health.

Friends and relatives are welcome at any time. The delightful village of Stonehouse can offer a wide variety of places to visit, such as supermarkets, hairdressers, a florist, a library and other shops and services, which are all within walking distance from the home.
